Andrew Elofson
Andrew Elofson, the founder of PCs for People, has worked as a licensed social worker for Blue Earth County for the past 17 years. In this time, Andrew has developed an expertise in the areas of Youth Development, Child Mental Health, Adult Mental Health, and is currently working with single adults and families who are homeless. Andrew utilizes his efforts as a social worker to help distribute computers to those most in need. Andrew has a Masters degree in Education and lives in Saint Peter, MN with his four children. In 1998, Blue Earth County gave Andrew the first computer to be donated. After 4 months, 30 more computers were donated and Andrew knew he needed help to grow the program. He obtained a county-owned house, developed relationships throughout the community, found a group of interested high school students and established
PCs for People. Since that time, PCs For People has donated over 1,500 computers to those who would not otherwise have the opportunity to easily access technology and actually own a computer.
Casey Sorensen
Casey Sorensen graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Computer Information Science from Minnesota State University, Mankato. While he attended MSU, Casey volunteered twice a week for two years at PCs for People. For the past 2 ˝ years, Casey has worked as a Technology Consultant for Deloitte Consulting LLP. In this role, he has gained managerial skills through leading small teams, developed leadership skills through meeting with key executives in Fortune 500 companies and increased his expertise with web development technologies. Technology related skills will be crucial in developing and maintaining customized inventory management and scheduling systems, as well as updating/creating a new web presence. Recently, Casey was brought on board to manage the expansion efforts.
Dr. Carol Milner

Dr. Carol Milner is a retired professor from Minnesota State University. Dr. Milner is a graduate from University of North Dakota and has written numerous articles in the area of Special Education. Her interests include technology, education and the digital divide that is present in the world today.
John Burns

Board of Directors - Treasurer
John Burns is currently a professor at South Central Community College in North Mankato, MN. John specializes in computer security, networking, hardware and software. John is a volunteer consultant for Mankato’s Habitat for Humanity branch and other agencies in the area. John currently lives in Mankato with his daughter.
